Sometimes you wake up after a heavy night and you can’t remember a thing about it.

If you’ve been to a chill out, sex party or sauna and you blacked out or can’t remember what happened, you might want to seek help, especially if you think you may have put yourself at risk of getting HIV or had sex you didn’t consent to.

PEP is medication that can be taken up to 72 hours after a potential HIV exposure to reduce the chances of infection. If you need to get PEP you should get to an A&E or GU service as soon as possible, as the sooner you take it the more likely it is to be effective.

Where to get PEP:
Burrell Street provide PEP 7 days a week. Visit the website for more information.

You can also get PEP at other GU clinics, including 56 Dean Street or find a clinic near you.

The health advisors at the clinic will assess your risks and decide if PEP is the best course of action.
