Chemsex slang | The terms you need to know

When people use apps and sites to arrange chemsex, they often use coded language, slang, or emojis. This can help them avoid bans, but it can also make things confusing if you’re not sure what’s being said. 

Understanding these terms can help you stay informed, set boundaries, and make safer choices. We have put together a shortlist of the most common terms, symbols and language used when having chemsex. Common chemsex terms:

Chemsex - Using drugs to make sex more intense, make it better or make sex longer

PNP / P&P (Party and Play) - Sex while using drugs 

HnH / HH (High and Horny) - Looking to combine drugs and sex 

Chill out / chill - This can mean hanging out, but often used to imply a chemsex session or afterparty 

Session / sesh - A planned chemsex meet-up 

Hosting / host - The person providing the space for the session. 

Common drug terms:

It’s important to note that these terms may vary and change often. 

T / Tina / crystal / meth - Crystal methamphetamine 

G / GHB / GBL - A depressant drug often used in chemsex that’s very easy to overdose on 

Mephedrone / meph / drone - A stimulant drug 

K / ket - Ketamine 

Gear - Can refer to drugs (often meth) but the meaning depends on context.

Common emoji drug and chemsex terms: 

People may use emojis instead of words to be stealthier when looking for chemsex and drugs, as some platforms ban certain words and terms.

💎 = Crystal meth 

💉 = Injecting drugs (slamming) 

⚗️ / 🧪 = Drugs / chems use 

🍆💦 = Sexual activity 

🏠 = Hosting 

Meanings can vary and if you’re unsure ask someone.

Slamming - injecting drugs 

BB (bareback) - Sex without condoms but not necessarily without PrEP 

Party favours - Another way of referring to drugs 

Looking / Right now (RN) - Wanting to meet immediately
