If you are in a crisis

If you're experiencing an emergency and feel like your life or safety is in danger, please call 999 and ask for the police or ambulance service.

If you feel like you might attempt suicide, or may have seriously harmed yourself, you need urgent medical help, please:

  • Call 999 for an ambulance
  • Go straight to A&E, if you can
  • Call your local crisis team - if you don't already have their number, you can find an urgent mental health helpline on the NHS website
  • You can also call Samaritans on 116 123 to speak to someone, 24/7, 365 days a year

If you don't want to talk to someone over the phone, these text lines are open 24 hours a day, every day.

  • Shout Crisis Text Line – for everyone - Text "SHOUT" to 85258

BODY & SOUL: YANA ('You Are Not Alone')

We run an award-winning, *completely free* medical-grade suicide programme for anybody who has attempted suicide.

If you:
- are 16-35 years old;
- and have attempted suicide during the last 12 months...

...then fill out our referral form, and we'll be in touch!: - http://bodyandsoulcharity.org/get-support/becoming-a-member/self-referral-form/

Our programme begins with six months of DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy) - delivered by fully trained professionals and a wider therapeutic team who want to understand, support and nourish all of you (not just your struggles, but your hopes, dreams, and quirks - everything that makes you you!).

Upon completing the initial DBT group, you then automatically become a member of Body & Soul for life - including access to further therapeutic interventions, casework support, DBT refreshers, creative workshops, and extensive CV building opportunities. We exist to support you in identifying, creating and enjoying a full and happy life worth living.

We're very much looking forward to hearing from you, getting to know you and helping you.

(N.B - The initial assessment and programme induction take place in our community building in Central London (EC1R). The rest of the DBT group is then all online.)
