About this session

When did you first see someone like yourself in a film, TV show, song, or book? What stories, characters, or artists helped you feel understood? Where do you find joy, connection, and representation today?

Sometimes, we are not fully seen. Bring along a favourite song, film clip, character, poem, quote, or story that resonates with you. Together, we'll share experiences, discover new perspectives, and learn more about each other while building connections in a welcoming and supportive space.

About LGBTQ+ HangOuts

A twice monthly friendly and welcoming online social and peer support group for LGBTQ+ people (18+) to come together and connect with one another in a safe, inclusive, informal, friendly and non-judgmental space.

Our aim is to reduce isolation by creating a safe space to get to know each other through shared lived experiences, topic discussions and creative activities.

  • We meet online on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month 11am - 12.30pm
  • Please try to arrive 5 minutes early.
  • The Zoom room closes at 11.10am (this is so we can minimise any disruption).
  • Please read our online group agreement

LGBTQ+ HangOuts is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund as part of a joint mental health programme in partnership with London Friend and Elop. LGBT HERO is funded to deliver online support groups for LGBTQ+ people. LGBTQ+ HangOuts is part of this work.
