Back in 2014, FS brought a group of gay men living with HIV together in a bid to fight HIV stigma. How does getting naked fight stigma we hear you say? When we started this project, many of the founding models told us that the stigma associated with the virus led them to feel unattractive, less confident, and ‘not sexy’ anymore.

So here at FS we said to hell with that and HIV Stripped Bare was born. It’s been four years since we first unleashed HIV Stripped Bare on the world and this year we are delighted to welcome our 40th gay man living with HIV to take part in this project.

However, 2017 is also a special year for FS. We are 15-years-old and we want to mark it by introducing you to this year’s participants, whilst also looking back over the last four years and highlighting some of the men who took part in each issue of HIV Stripped Bare. The men who took part in editions1-4 are very much a part of our history and FS couldn’t be any prouder to have these men grace the pages of our magazine once again.

So before we look back, it’s time to meet this year’s models. Six men (and one mixed HIV status couple) got together on a rainy Saturday afternoon to strip and make a difference. These men are showing everyone that they have nothing to hide and are standing up to HIV stigma...
